Online shopping exceeds expectations

During the peak festive shopping season www.bidorbuy.co.za experienced an average growth in sales of 34% resulting in a monthly increase in sales of R1.49 million. "Although much of this success can be attributed to seasonal shopping peak," says Gillian Meier, business manager at bidorbuy.co.za, "a large percentage of our growth is as a direct result of a vigorous advertising campaign that the company embarked on from mid October to mid December." This is the first time in five years that bidorbuy has invested in advertising. The peak shopping season also resulted in an increase of 21% in new registered users and almost 70% more product listings on bidorbuy. [08 Jan 2007 16:29] .

Jack Prybylski: Window Shopping

In some ways, Buffalo New York is the most unlikely of places to spawn jazz artists and yet over the years there have been some phenomenal musicians who first called Buffalo home. If you are a connoisseur of smooth jazz and not the mundane elevator music that sometimes poses on radio station and imposes upon our ears then you will want to dial into Prybylski. The Ken Navarro penned Bright Spot is a lively and cheery song that bears Navarros smooth guitar licks.

Shopping center magnate steps onto the national stage

On Chaim Katzman's desk sits a Bible, and in the corner of his North Miami Beach office stand full-size American and Israeli flags. It's an unusual combination for a South Florida real estate executive, whose $5.9 billion portfolio spans the globe. The Bible ''comes in handy'' for reading when Katzman needs inspiration. He added the flags after 9/11, when the U.S. truly became home for this Israeli immigrant who holds dual citizenship. ''It's a reminder of where I came from and the opportunity the U.S. presents,'' said Katzman, 57, who serves as chairman of Equity One, a North Miami Beach real estate investment trust, and parent company Gazit-Globe Ltd. of Tel Aviv. ``The U.S. is the land of opportunity; there's no question about it. It takes somebody who has the U.S.
